The official website for Detective Conan films have updated with the 90-second trailer for it's upcoming 16th film, “Detective Conan: The 11th Striker.” The plot follows Conan and his friends who must solve a riddle in order to disarm a bomb inside a soccer stadium.
Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence) is directing under the supervision of the franchise's chief director Yasuichiro Yamamoto, Kazunari Kouchi (Aoyama Gosho Tanpen-shu) is writing the script, and Katsuo Ono (DNA Sights 999.9, Fake) is composing the music.
Kogoro Mori of the Mori Detective Agency suddenly receives a threatening phone call. After a few minutes, a car explodes right before his eyes. If Conan, Kogoro, Ran, and the Detective Boys cannot decipher the coded message, they won't be able to stop the next bomb.
The culprit lays down a riddle as a challenge: "Aoi shōnen to aoi shimauma, ue kara no ame" (A blue boy and a blue zebra, rain from above…). The threats continue until Conan and the others are at a soccer match between the rivals Ganba Osaka and Tokyo Spirits, and the culprit threatens the entire stadium.
Detective Conan: The 11th Striker opens on April 14th.
