BLEACH Live Action Film in the Works

As we approach in the last story arc of the manga, American film studio Warner Brothers had finally acquired rights to produce the aforementioned live action film adaptation of the supernatural manga and anime, BLEACH.

Warner Bros. assigned Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans remake) to write a script. Peter Segal (Get Smart remake, The Longest Yard, Anger Management) is attached as a producer and director. Michael Ewing, actor Masi Oka (Heroes, Get Smart), and Jason Hoffs (The Terminal) at Viz Productions, with Branon Coluccio as the executive producer.

According to Variety website, Segal commented, "I've always been a huge fan of Bleach and have great respect for its creator Kubo-sensei and the truly original and amazing world he has created in this manga."

Bleach is about a story of a young man named Kurosaki Ichigo, who has the ability to see ghosts and spirits. He later met Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami (Soul Reaper), who escorts dead people to Soul Society. But an unprecedented event happened. During a Hollow attack, Rukia accidentally passes all her powers to Ichigo. Thus making him a substitute Shinigami.

Detective Conan: The 11th Striker Trailer

The official website for Detective Conan films have updated with the 90-second trailer for it's upcoming 16th film, “Detective Conan: The 11th Striker.” The plot follows Conan and his friends who must solve a riddle in order to disarm a bomb inside a soccer stadium.

Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence) is directing under the supervision of the franchise's chief director Yasuichiro Yamamoto, Kazunari Kouchi (Aoyama Gosho Tanpen-shu) is writing the script, and Katsuo Ono (DNA Sights 999.9, Fake) is composing the music.



Kogoro Mori of the Mori Detective Agency suddenly receives a threatening phone call. After a few minutes, a car explodes right before his eyes. If Conan, Kogoro, Ran, and the Detective Boys cannot decipher the coded message, they won't be able to stop the next bomb.

The culprit lays down a riddle as a challenge: "Aoi shōnen to aoi shimauma, ue kara no ame" (A blue boy and a blue zebra, rain from above…). The threats continue until Conan and the others are at a soccer match between the rivals Ganba Osaka and Tokyo Spirits, and the culprit threatens the entire stadium.

Detective Conan: The 11th Striker opens on April 14th.

BLEACH Anime to End this March

It has been reported in television program listing that the supernatural TV anime series, BLEACH will be ending it's seven year run at japan's TV-Tokyo. The last episode will air March 27th, 6 PM.

When a Twitter follower of Bleach animation director Hiroki Takagi sent him an image of the listings, Takagi responded by saying, "So quick. I was going to paste it… /(^o^)\"

The BLEACH anime series is currently on their 16th season, also known as the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc. It is set seventeen months after the teenager Ichigo Kurosaki lost his Soul Reaper powers and meets a man known as Kugō Ginjō who proposes him to recover them.

Taichi, Masaru Appears Next Week in Digimon Xros Wars

Earlier than expected, Taichi Yagami and Masaru Daimon, two of the previous Digimon heroes, will make their appearance on Digimon Xros Wars: Digimon Hunters next week!

In next week's episode “Golden Insect! The mystery of MetallifeKuwagamon,” it has been reported that a golden beetle is said to appear in the hills. Kaneda, Tagiru's classmate, an insect maniac, goes there immediately.



Inside the Digi-Quartz, it has been revealed that it is MetalifeKwagamon, a Digimon that can't be hunted. It starts to explain that there's hunter will be sacrificed to the "Presence of Evil", and the Past Data are getting absorbed.

Detective Conan gets 4th Live Action Special

It has been announced in this year's 13th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine that the mystery manga and anime, Detective Conan will have its fourth live action TV special this spring.

To be entitled “Detective Conan Drama Special: Shinichi Kudō and the Case of the Kyoto Shinsengumi Murder,” the high school detectives of the East and West meet as Shinichi and Heiji compete to solve a murder at a Kyoto film studio.


The special marks the return of Junpei Mizobata (Hana Kimi, 81-Diver), Shiori Kutsuna (BECK, Mei-chan no Shitsuji) and Takatori Jinnai, as Shinichi Kudo, Ran and Kogoro Mori, respectively.

Tori Matsuzaka (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, Death Game Park) and Rei Okamoto (Kamen Rider Kiva The Movie) reprises their roles from the recent Detective Conan drama series, as Heiji Hatori and Kuzuha Toyama, respectively.

Plant vs Zombies di PS Vita

Perwakilan PopCap di Playstation Blog Jeff Green datang kembali dengan membawa berita baru, gamenya yang cukup sukses sebelumnya di platfom game mobile yaitu Plants vs Zombies ikut turut memanaskan peluncuran PS Vita hari ini.


Menurut Jeff, versi Playstation Vita adalah yang paling sempurna dari versi lainnya. Game akan mengambil keuntungan dari dukungan fitur layar sentuh dan sensor gerak internal pada mesin game handheld terbaru dari Sony tersebut. Menghadirkan 50 tantangan berbeda, 20 mini game, 18 game puzzle, 43 trophy termasuk didalamnya Platinum trophy, online leaderboards, Zen Garden, dan tool pembuat zombie; Zombatar. Angry Birds Space

Para burung pemarah di Angry Birds akan segera menjelajah luar angkasa. Ya, Rovio selaku pembuat game mobile populer tersebut siap meluncurkan versi barunya dengan tajuk Angry Birds Space. Dalam keterangan di websitenya, Rovio siap meluncurkan Angry Birds Space pada tanggal 22 Maret 2012. Angry Birds Space sepertinya akan meneruskan kejayaan game ini, yang berbagai versi sebelumnya telah di-download sekitar 500 juta kali.


Selain meluncurkan game, Rovio juga membuat berbagai pernak pernik Angry Birds yang semakin menambah pundi-pundi uang mereka. Belum lama ini, Angry Birds juga telah diluncurkan di situs jejaring sosial Facebook. "Apa yang kami bangun adalah sebuah franchise hiburan. Hiburan tidak hanya soal game, bisnis yang kami lakukan lebih besar ketimbang sekadar game," kata Peter Vestebacka selaku kepala marketing Rovio. Belum jelas cerita seperti apa yang akan diketengahkan Rovio di Angry Birds Space. Yang hampir dapat dipastikan, setting permainan akan berada di luar angkasa. Kita tunggu saja.

Hercules: The Thracian Wars

Buat mereka yang mengharapkan Hercules diadaptasi ke dalam layar lebar dengan spesial efek yang mumpuni kelihatannya bisa bersorak senang. Pasalnya, sutradara yang terkenal karena trilogi Rush Hour-nya, Brett Ratner, sudah siap menukangi proyek yang akan mengangkat kisah pahlawan Yunani ini. Dan kini, dikabarkan pegulat yang berpindah ke ranah akting, Dwayne Johnson, sedang mengincar peran sebagai Hercules. Film ini merupakan adaptasi dari novel grafis Hercules: The Thracian Wars dengan naskah rencananya ditulis oleh Ryan Condal (Paradise Lost).
Kisahnya sendiri bisa dibilang cenderung lebih gelap dari kisah Hercules sebelumnya, di mana manusia terkuat di muka bumi ini menjadi tentara bayaran yang melawan para dewa karena kehilangan keluargany. Ia kemudian bergabung dengan enam pria lainnya yang memiliki kesamaan, yaitu sama-sama haus darah dan sekelompok prajurit yang disewa oleh King of Thrace untuk melatih para penjaganya menjadi tentara.

BLEACH Manga to End Soon?

Weekly Shonen Shueisha telah mengumumkan bahwa Bleach karya Tite Kubo memasuki cerita akhir. Hal ini juga menerbitkan sketsa layout untuk halaman akhir manga itu.
Kubo telah menggambar manga di majalah sejak tahun 2001, dan Shueisha menerbitkan volume 53 buku disusun dari manga, "Pengembalian Deathberry The 2" Desember lalu.
